* About the song, from Perspects/Ian Clark:

"This is a menacing little psyche piece. I guess it's Guide-inspired, the title is a lyric from 'Epistle to Dippy.'

It comes from some experiments with field recordings I've been doing. This particular one is built off a short tape loop of some foul-mouthed neighborhood boys. For the record, they're playing a kind of chicken-basketball where one forms his outstretched arms into a hoop and another throw a ball at his face, basically. This took place in the street outside my window in the summer of 2003. The recording was interrupted, I can be heard answering 'yeah' to my name being called and bumping into the mic.

The tape was sent through a chain of echoes and harmonizers for the trippy effect. The rhythmic texture is a kind of phantom rhythm that emerges when the ARP sequencer is played back at full speed. It can be heard slowing down toward the end. The whole thing kind of winds up and unspools at various points. No MIDI was used, nothing was synchronized."
