Lyrics

I taste your cold hips
With my white hot lips
What they deliver
You know I wouldn't miss

I have always
I have always loved a party

But I see nothing
that I want to keep
I know I love someone
But it bores me half asleep

I have always
I have always loved a party

A dead boy's running back to me
Starts me thinking about things I don't believe in

So put your cold hands
On my white hot hips
This world's on fire
It's nothing we should miss

I have always
I have always loved a party

* About the song, from Victor Krummenacher:

"When I read Dennis' work there's always a melancholy undercurrent I find in the characters, and I wanted to work with that feeling in a way that didn't seem overly maudlin or sentimental. There's a certain detachment in the characters that always strikes me as very real, a resigned feeling. The boys in Ash Gray seemed too young to articulate emotion very well, there's a hint of motivation, but nothing is given away, and I wanted to leave things kind of ambiguous, too. So that's what I came up with. I just improvised most of the lyrics right after re-reading the story. I was pretty happy how it worked."
